Activity Check!

From the Rules page:

Activity Checks will happen monthly. To pass the activity check, players will need to provide proof of eight (8) comments made by their account across two (2) unique sources for each character they play in the game.

The sources can be from a post they made, a thread on a post someone else made, a top-level they made, or a top-level someone else made. We ask that you do not source these comments from two threads from the same top-level or post that you made, but instead make sure the sources are fully unique.

Providing only one proof of activity will result in a strike. Players who take a strike will be required to meet normal activity for two (2) subsequent months before they're permitted to take a strike again. Failure to make activity during this period will result in removal from the game.

Failure to provide any proof of activity will result in removal from the game. We ask that if players feel they are not able to make activity for the month they either post a hiatus or get in contact with us.

If you need to take a hiatus for two (2) consecutive AC periods, please contact us. Hiatuses are allowed, we understand, but we will be keeping an eye on this for abuse of the system on a case by case basis.

Examples of Acceptable Activity

Rather than do a flow chart, we wanted to provide examples:

You've made a post or top-level comment for your character. Characters A and B have responded. For your activity proof, you may pick either A or B's thread as a proof, but you cannot pick A and B's thread. For your second proof, you will need to choose another thread you've made, either on someone else's post or top-level or another post or top-level that you've made.

Proofs can be a combination of:
One (1) comment in one proof and seven (7) in another
Two (2) and six (6)
Three (3) and five (5)
Or any combination of numbers that total up to eight (8).

Even if an individual thread within a proof is over eight (8) comments, we still require two (2) proofs. Often this will mean you will have more than eight (8) comments for AC, but eight (8) is still the minimum total across both proofs.

At least one (1) thread used for activity proofs must be started within the month they are used for.

Threads from the TDM can be used for one (1) of your activity proofs. Because TDMs are posted in the final week of a month, they can either be used for that month's AC or the next month's. So, for example, the TDM posted in April can be used for April's AC or for May's.

Threads posted in a character's IC inbox can be used for one (1) of your activity proofs. Just like with normal threads, these must be started within the month they are used for.

Backdated threads that were started in the previous month can be used for one (1) of your activity proofs. Anything before the previous month, however, cannot be used for AC.

You can either use an Inbox thread OR a backdated thread for a proof, you cannot have an inbox thread AND a backdated thread. One thread must be in the public communities and must have been started the same month as the AC period.

As a final note; threads used for AC cannot be used for Rewards, as the spirit of Reward threads is additional activity beyond what is needed for AC.

The form

This is a permanent AC page, and thus you will need to make a top-level comment with PLAYER NAME in the title, and then subthreads for every character you play with CHARACTER NAME | CANON NAME in the title. Respond to this with the MONTH AND YEAR in the title, and fill out the contents of the form below;
